Patient Testimonials

I’m so glad I consulted with Sarah instead of trying to guide myself. The specific exercises she provided – especially the sequences – helped me improve quickly and on a regular basis. I would not have known about the specific exercises on my own – they were custom made! Her sensitive interpersonal skills and style are so non-judgmental and supportive. I always looked forward to our appointments. Her people skills are wonderful!

I started seeing Sarah at about 3 months postpartum due to pelvic floor pain. While getting treated for pelvic floor pain related to an episiotomy, Sarah also discovered that I had diastasis recti from my pregnancy. Within a couple months I was able to get my abdomen back to normal with a series of exercises that Sarah showed me. Also through a series of in office therapy and at home exercises, my pelvic floor pain was healed within 6 months. Sarah made me feel completely comfortable during therapy sessions as she has great people skills and is highly knowledgeable in pelvic floor rehabilitation. I truly do not know what I would have done without her and feel that every woman should have a visit postpartum to assess their health and well being in an area that is often overlooked. I cannot thank her enough!

Postpartum

While pregnant with her second child, this mom was referred for pelvic floor rehab after a suggestion from her doula. In her second trimester she began to experience symptoms of urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and painful diastasis recti. As an active and working mom she needed a solution to keep her moving in the right direction without having to significantly slow down her activities. She was successful in therapy, had a wonderful birth, and followed up with Dr. Sarah postpartum as well. In a note of thanks she writes, “I’m now able to run without pain or pressure. Still keeping up with my therapy of course! I signed up for the half marathon!”

Pregnancy & Postpartum

It started 7 years ago when I started to experience symptoms of what is called Prostatitis or pelvic dysfunction. For years I suffered with no resolution except for multiple trips to the doctor on a weekly basis to receive a prescription for antibiotics. In the summer of 2015 a family member of mine stumbled across Sarah’s Buffalo News Article one day. Since the first time I spoke with Sarah I had hope in controlling and hopefully suffering no symptoms. Since then 6 months have passed and I have continued to improve because of the techniques and life skills that Sarah has helped guide me to develop. I can truly say that without Sarah’s guidance and support I would still be in the vicious cycle of what is called Prostatitis.

Chronic Prostatitis

I had been experiencing pelvic pain for a decade after I suffered a traumatic fall on our honeymoon. Life continued, and even though intimate time with my husband was painful, our family grew to a beautiful family of five in just over four years. Upon getting my referral to Sarah, I was skeptical to even make that first phone call because I thought there was no hope for me to ever be able lessen my pain. (I had discussed my pain with various doctors and regular physical therapists only getting responses such as, “…there’s probably nothing you can do… that’s a tough area to heal… I’m sorry but you’ve done all you can.”)  During our first phone call, Sarah gave me hope that my situation could progress for the better. And it did! Sarah was extremely professional and always made me feel comfortable. She talked me through various techniques during our sessions and taught me how to perform exercises at home.  We had our final session in July only due to the fact that I was moving half-way across the country. If I was still living in WNY, I would have continued my sessions with Sarah in a heartbeat. If you feel as if there is no hope for you, please give Sarah a call.  She is an all-around exceptional physical therapist and someone my husband and I are both incredibly thankful for.

Pain/Postpartum

I would recommend Sarah to anybody in need of physical therapy. She genuinely cares about seeing her patients progress and works hard to find a solution. I was very discouraged with the pelvic pain and urinary symptoms I was experiencing, and was starting to believe I would just have to live with it. With each visit I made to Sarah I began to see further progress and gain hope for the future. She provided me with a variety of different exercises I could perform at home which I continue to do today, and I’m happy to say my symptoms are almost completely gone.
