Meet Our Team/Providers

Sarah Capodagli, DPT, PRPC

While providing physical therapy to young children through early intervention services, Sarah began to notice a common and concerning trend. The mothers of many of her patients were content with pelvic floor dysfunction. With a sudden cough or sneeze, while picking up their child, or if bravely attempting to complete the jump-kick-squat maneuver in their fitness class, it was “normal” to leak. Sarah began to explore the options available to these devoted and on-the-go women and came to learn that there are few therapists who offer such specialized rehabilitation. Thus, she began her journey to become one who would be able to provide such services to both men and women.

Sarah Capodagli began specializing in pelvic floor rehabilitation in Western New York while working at Roswell Park Cancer Institute. With a primary focus on male urinary incontinence following treatment for prostate cancer, she gained valuable insight into the unique needs of patients following surgery and/or radiation. She has worked with some of the top surgeons, oncologists, and medical staff in the nation to grow and improve the patient experience with the “Prostate Program” at Roswell Park. Always one to be well rounded, Sarah truly felt she could fulfill a gap in care in the Western New York region with women’s pelvic floor rehabilitation, so she sought additional training from Herman & Wallace – the premier pelvic rehabilitation institute in the US. Through this institute, she has successfully completed training courses for treatment of both men and women with pelvic floor dysfunction and has received the Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner Certification – the first provider in all of Western NY to do so.

Sarah is a Western New York native, born and raised in the Niagara Falls area. She attended undergraduate and graduate school at Nazareth College of Rochester where she received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. An advocate for preventative and conservative rehabilitation, a volunteer with medical missions, and former adjunct faculty at Nazareth College, she is passionate about helping others locally and around the globe.
